A couple of weeks ago, I watched “Spider-Man No Way Home” Let me tell you: I loved it and am still in awe of thst movie!!!! I will put a Spoiler-Warning soon… so don’t blame me, if I spoiled you some things in this movie.
As a huge Marvel-fan, I really liked that Sony brought back some of my favorite Spider-Man villains, like Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman and Green Govlin, that ever existed in the Spider-Man universe! But more on them later….
What else would you expect from a multie-million-dollar-budgeted movie abs franchise?!
Let me start with the cast, Jamie Fox, was one of my favorites especially *SPOILER ALERT* when he said to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man that he thought that he’d be black, referring to Miles Morales, from “Spider-Man into the Spider-universe” from 2018. I really liked it when they portrayed him as the electro in the comics. Zendaya was great as per usual but I have to say that William Defoe’s Green Goblin, was both impressive and horrifying to me, probably because when I watched Spider-Man, as a kid, I was horrified by him and his green goblin back in 2002. That still continued throughout this movie. But even tho I was happy to see Alfred Molina as Doc Oc again, I really didn’t like hoe they made him look younger with the use of CGI. I also didn’t like how they used old footage of Sandman…
Strange and Von are always so much fun to listen to haha… like dialogue wise.
*spoiler Alert* when Strange asked Peter wether he had tried calling MIT …. The whole theater burst into laughter.
Onto the part, which probably was THEE best part: *Spoiler Alert* when Ned opened a portal ….. and a Spider-Man with BIG eyes jumped into the room, where MJ and Ned were…. When I tell you, I screamed Andrew, when I saw those EYES! I’m very excited to see how they will use Ned’s powers in the upcoming movies. That scene lives RENT-FREE in my head….! When Toby jumped into the room, I lost it!
This movie was a fan-fest, like I could go on and on mentioning the little Easter eggs , which were mentioned throughout the movie but I think I’ve already spoiled the movie for many people haha…!
I want to talk about the camera angles and how certain scenes were shot: I really liked how they chose to shoot the Peter Parker and MJ scene after the big battle scene with electro and co. A part of me really thought that I’d would be like in “The Amazing Spider-Man” but you’ll have to watch it for yourself if Peter lost or …. HIS MJ.
In my opinion it was kinda innocent when Peter tried to fix the villains because that showed how immature he really is but I’m glad that they changed when Green Goblin killed Aunt May and Andrew stopped him from beating green goblin to death and eventually committing a crime. That scene was somewhat of a transformational way to show us, the audience, that Peter Parker became a man and mature. I agree it was THEE saddest scene in the movie along with *spoiler alert+ when Peter went to the cafe, where MJ, was working at and said: “I’m Peter Parker and I would like a coffee please.” The face expression on MJ’s face shattered my heart into small pieces…
Before watching the movie I had a couple predictions I’m very happy that some of them came true.
Now, I want to talk about the mid and post credits scenes: I screamed when they introduced us to DAREDeVIL like I really was not expecting that! His line was also very funny to me but after watching the series on Netflix I am even more excited to see more from him in the upcoming movies. Now onto the post credit scene: as I seen it in Venom: Let There Be Carnegie, I had predicted it that he’d be a part of No Way Home after watching the trailer for No Way Home, especially when I saw how he was teleported into Earth 616. Even tho we didn’t see him in the movie (he was only mentioned as the black alien) I was really glad that we saw him in one of the post credit scenes. In that bar, where Eddie was talking about Hulk and Thanos and Iron Man and then when he was teleported by possibility Doctor Strange, I screamed and when he lost a part of Venom I immediately thought about “Agent Venom” from the comics – there could be a possibility of him being introduced to us, the audience, in the near future! I really liked that movie… no, I loved it and it was THEE best movie I’ve ever seen in 2021! I would rate it a 9/10 because of the old footage of Sandman and that they made Doctor Octopus look a bit weird with the use of CGI! I really liked the homage to Stan Lee on the license plate on the taxi from the battle scene with Doc Oc and Peter.
What were your thoughts on “No Way Home”? What were your predictions?
