Is the second season of “The Flight Attendant “ worth a watch?

After literally binge-watching the first season of HBO Max’s “The Flight Attendant” within three days, back in 2020. I was even more excited for the release of its second season today, along with its first two episodes! This is a Drama, Comedy, Mystery and Thriller, mini-series, with its eight episodes in its first season.”. It starrs my favorite actress Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), T.R. Knight ( Grey’s Anatomy), Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey), Griffin Mathews (Law & Order) and Yesha Jackson (Netflix’s Black Mirror), just to name a few. It was directed by Silver Tree ( Netflix’s “You”). The second season will have eight episodes in total.

Onto the premise: A reckless flight attendant with an alcoholism problem wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. Unable to piece the night together, she begins to wonder if she could be the killer.

Flight attendant Cassandra Bowden wakes in her hotel room in Bangkok, hungover from the night before and with a dead body lying next to her. Afraid to call the police, she continues her morning as if nothing happened, joining the other flight attendants and pilots traveling to the airport. In New York, she is met by FBI agents who question her about her recent layover in Bangkok. Still unable to piece the night together, she begins to wonder if she could be the killer.

In the first episode, the lead character Cassie (Kaley) is living her best life in Los Angeles, has a supportive new boyfriend, and moonlights as a CIA asset. When her latest assignment makes her an eyewitness to a murder, Cassie becomes entangled in another international mystery…

Without spoilers: the first episode of season two ……had all the elements of a CIA-operation.

We pick up there, where we left off on episode eight in season one….

Cassie works as a part-time waitress and now, lives in Los Angeles, She dates her new boyfriend March. She flies as a flight attendant. We quickly meet the key characters and I really liked the addition of new characters into the mix…..

Then a lot of action involving Cassie is being turned into an exciting yet escalating mystery. We are left with an intriguing cliff hanger.

There were some really cool camera angles, which I was a big fan of! Production wise, loved the better usage of split-screens in comparison to the first season. I really really liked the new enrollment of the opening credits.

In the second episode, things in the first episode, move along in the now “new normal” world of Cassie, while she is residing in Los Angeles, several questions open up with this episode: What is Grace up to? Who are the __ couple? What is the CIA doing? Where is __? Is __ dangerous?

Because the first episode was faced-paced, the second one was slower-paced, which I really liked. It was easier to follow along to me. Loved the ending of episode two…!

Can’t wait to watch the next episodes (3 and 4) next Thursday, April 28th 2022.

In the third episode, Kaley, gets a cryptic text message from Megan, so she has to fly to Iceland to continue on her search for Megan. Love the different versions of Cassie, this season. The plot plods along, yet has a hint of all those crime/investigative police tv-shows, with its immediately and inexplicability solving the code, which was sent to her by Megan. The ending was beautifully done, with its complete with it’s revelation and jeopardy.

In episode four, Cassie attempting to get Megan safely out of Reykjavík, Cassie fears she’s being framed for murder when two bodies are found in Echo Park. Loved Michelle Gomez, she did an amazing job, together with the improved pacing and an even more exciting plot, this is a much better episode prolly my favorite one thus far! An excellent ending, makes me even more excited about the upcoming episodes!

In episode five, Cassie, after finding potentially incriminating photos in Benjamin’s office, she seeks assurances from Shane – and continues to avoid Marco – while Megan searches for an all-important lockbox. This show is heartbreaking because as someone, who is struggling with instability in my life from time to time (fuck bipolar), I exactly know how Cassie’s feeling in this episode. What it’s like to have a collapse and just lose control of yourself! This episode was the perfect representation of being at the lowest point of your life and thinking of giving up! However it is an amazing character development for Cassie and was really well written and those trippy scenes gave me serious “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” vibes, which I really liked, especially the pool scene…. WOW!

I really liked the revelation of so many things: We learn that Cassie hasn’t actually been sober. Megan did in fact find her bag of stuff. Cassie blurted out Marcus that she had cheated on him. We finally learn who is impersonating Cassie and I wasn’t shocked really but I was kinda shocked how well she did plan and executed it! I mean that person who is impersonating Cassie! Her conversation with the lady who took Megan in , forgot her name, was very emotional and I did in fact she’d sown tears.

In episode six, Cassie faces hard truths about her path to sobriety while visiting her mom. Megan attempts to reconnect with her own family, who are reluctant to welcome her back.

I really liked the raw emotions between Cassie and her mom and we learned so much more about their family dynamics. A very emotional yet beautiful interaction between both Cassie and her mom and Megan and her son. I might’ve shed a few tears during this episode.

The plot moves forward with Cassie and leveling her doubting whom is trustworthy. A good plot in a sea of action, well-crafted dialogues, raw emotions, cool visuals and superb acting.

In episode seven, Cassie, Shane, Annie, and Max attempt to run down clues in the string of murders – which continue to point to Cassie as the main suspect.

Things are heating up is this episode with Cassie not sure in whom she can trust. So many twists and the ending is shocking and impactful, yet answering some questions but it created new ones, which hopefully will be answers in the season finale (episode eight) next Thursday, May 26th 2022!

Just watched the season finale of the second season of “The Flight Attendant”. Let’s talk about it!

In episode eight, Cassie manages to connect the dots in a far-reaching conspiracy, while Megan tries to make amends with Shane.

This episode was an excellent ending to this season, following Grace’s suicide, in episode seven, last week. It looked like it would be a very chaotic episode but, overall, everything it reached a very satisfying and believable conclusion.

The main plot finished rather predictably, since we’ve learned so many things about Cassie throughout this season, A follow-up chain of events, however, was completely unexpected, especially towards a certain time-frame…. It made my jaw drop to the floor. Wow! Anyways, let’s continue!

Megan’s conclusion is acceptable, even though it felt a little bit too rushed.

Not gonna lie, did shed some tears during her part…

Overall I really liked this season and am hoping for a third one! One thing that I have to say is, where were Cassie’s double and her boyfriend?

Overall I really liked it, it was a superb episode and season, yes, it did have his ups and downs here in there, especially the mind-palace council of Cassie works so well. Kaley Cuoco, once again shows and showed us, the audience, that she is a more versatile actress than some would actually think. As she has and caries the role of Cassie and all her different versions, with such ease. The story was gripping throughout, presenting a throughly exciting and investigative thriller.

Can’t wait to watch the third season, if they will make one! I love this series so much!
