Yesterday I watched this animated tv show, which was created and voice cast by the same people who created Netflix’s “Paradise PD”. “Farzar” is an adult animated series which has 10 episodes in its first season, which I had mentioned during Netflix’s “GeekedWeek” a couple weeks ago.
It’s a mixture of “Rick and Morty”, “Futurama”, “Paradise PD” and “Final Space”.
It was directed and written by Brian Mainolfi, creator of “Paradise PD”.
Onto the premise: Prince Fichael and his crew as they venture out of their domed human city to fight the evil aliens that want to kill them. As they begin their journey, Fichael quickly discovers that all is not what it seems and he may be living a lie.
I’m a huge fan of “Paradise PD”. The creators know how to create silly, adult, entertaining tv shows. With mockery of video games and movies.
If you don’t enjoy this than you’re not familiar with the creators previous work. They’re shows are about the characters and the puns. Also if you like spoofs than this is for you, add in some 4th wall breaking and I’m here for all of this
This show is phenomenal because we get to see a side of Lance Reddick nobody was prepared for. Mr. Reddick normally gives a performance so polished it makes Kelsey Grammar’s Frazier look homeless. But Lance’s quotes throughout this show are unbelievably amazing! You have to constanly pause and rewind because this is some FUNNY stuff!
I really liked that this show had a POC as its main character.
Overall I really liked it because it was a mixture of all my favorite tv shows such as “Rick and Morty” and “Paradise PD”.
