Is “Me Time” worth a watch?

Promise this will be one of the last reviews for today…

When I watched the trailer for this movie and saw that Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg would be starring in a movie together, I knew that I had to watch this one when it came out. It was released on August 26th 2022 on Netflix.

This movie is a Comedy and it was rated R for sexual material, language and brief drug use.

This movie starrs Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg, Regina Hall, Che Tafari (Netflix’s “Daredevil”), Andrew Santino (2017’s “The Disaster Artist”), just to name a few. This movie was directed by John Hamburg (2016’s “Why Him”).

Onto the premise: Follows a Dad who finds time for himself for the first time in years while his wife and kids are away. He reconnects with a friend for a wild weekend.

First of all, I love Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart and have watched almost every movie of them. The trailer was quite promising and i expected a comedy, even if it was clear that the genre would not be defined new.

Unfortunately, thiss movie failed to be funny with it’s jokes being questionable. Too many pointless jokes with guys displaying too much childish behavior. I know that’s what the producers intended to do but i’m wondering who’s enjoying such deviate storytelling? In conclusion, it was the first and the last time that I was watching this movie. Well done, one more movie that very likely no one will remember as it goes down in the archive of forgotten moviess.
