On the pilot and very first episode of my podcast, “Movie Reviews With Ceren”, I made some predictions for the winners of “Emmys”. So now the Emmy’s are over, let’s see if I was right or wrong!
The 74th Emmys were held in Los Angels on September 12th 2022.
In the category of “Outstanding Comedy Series”, I wanted and predicted that Hulu’s “Only Murderers In The Building” but Apple TV+ ‘s “Ted Lasso” won. I’m not surprised but I’m kinda sad that OMITB didn’t win.
In the category of “Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series”, I predicted that the guys from OMITB-would win but “Ted Lasso” ‘s Jason Sudeikis won.
“Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series” won “Hacks”’ Jean Smart, but I would’ve liked for Kaley Cuoco to win for Amazon Prime’s “The Flight Attendant” especially what she did in the second season…
Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series goes to Hulu’s “Only Murderers In The Building”’s Nathan Lane. Finally they won an award as I had predicted it!
In my opinion “Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Serie” award would have gone to Hulu’s “Only Murderers In The Building” but Ted Lasso won that as well.
Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series should’ve gone to Hulu’s “Only Murderers In The Building” because of what they did in the second season! But “Abbott Elementary” won that award…
I was surprised that “Euphoria” didn’t win the award for “Outstanding Drama Series” because of their second season… I’m happy for “Succession” because they deserve it. I’m fine with it.
As for “Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series” my prediction was right and Netflix’s “Squid Gsme” won an award!!
As predicted the award for “Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series” went to thee queen Zendaya for “Euphoria”! Yes, I’m very happy about that!
As for the award for “Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series” I really thought that Cassie aka Sydney Sweeney would win it but “Succession” once again score that one!
Another one for A24’s “Euphoria”! This time for Ali in the category for “Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series” aka Colmon Domingo.
My favorite character from “Squid Game” won as I’ve predicted in the category for “Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series” Lee You- Mi. But “Squid Gsme” also won the next award for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series”, surpassing “Succession “. But the award for “Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series” was won by “Succession”.
I predicted that either Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy” or “The Dropout” or “Dopesick” would win this award for “Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series” but “The White Lotus” won starring Sydney Sweeney.
“Outstanding Television Movie” goes for “Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers” by Disney Plus. As I predicted it.
Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie I predicted that “Dopesick” would win it and it did! Michael Keaton won it for his role as Doctor Samuel Finnix.
Another prediction of mine came true! Hulu’s “The Dropout” won an award for “Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie”.
I really thought Seth Rogen would win it for his performance in Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy”. But “The White Lotus” ‘ Murray Bartlett won it.
Thought that “Dopesick” would win this award for “Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie” but “The White Lotus”.
The award for “Outstanding Directing For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie” went to “the White Lotus” I thought either “The Dropout” or “Dopesick “ would win this award.
As I’ve predicted the award for “Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program” went to MAMA Ru , RuPaul!
My picks for the category of “Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program” were “Selling Sunset” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” but “Love on the Spectrum “ won.
As for the category of “Outstanding Variety Sketch Series” I had predicted that “SNL” would win and that’s exactly what happened!
As for the category of “Outstanding Variety Special (Live) l” My prediction for “The Grammys” didn’t win but “SuperBall” won.
Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) award went to Adele but I would’ve liked it to go to the 20th Anniversary of “Harry Potter” as a Potterhat myself.
My prediction for the category of “Outstanding Animated Program” were “Rick and Morty”, “Arcane “, What if”, or “The Simpsons” or “Bobs Burgers but I’m so so so happy that “Arcane “ won it! I can’t wait to watch the second season!
I screamed when I found out that David Fincher’s “Love Death and Robots” won the award for “Outstanding Short Form Animated Program”. I just love love this series so much on Netflix!
Squid Game won another ward for “Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More” they even surpassed my plan b winner “The Flight Attendant”.
I thought Marvel’s “Loki” really won the award for “Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Period Or Fantasy Program (One Hour Or More)” but that one got snubbed by “The Gilded Age”.
Another one for “Only Murderers In The Building” ! This time it’s for the category of
“Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour)”.
Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Reality Or Competition Series went to MAMA Ru again!
Outstanding Production Design For A Variety Special went to “SuperBall”.
Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series award goes to “Abbott Elementary”.
“Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series” I thought it would go to “Euphoria” but it went to “Succession”.
“Outstanding Casting For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie” went to “The White Lotus” starring Sydney Sweeney!!
Surpassing “Inventing Anna” and “Dopesick”.
Rihanna’s “Savage X Fenty Show Vol 3” won the award for “Outstanding Choreography For Variety Or Reality Programming” and another prediction of mine came true!
Another one for “Euphoria”! This time for the category of “Outstanding Choreography For Scripted Programming”! They deserve it!
Another prediction of mine came true and I couldn’t be happier! “Dopesick” won the award for “Outstanding Cinematography For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie”!

So Lily James didn’t win for her painful prosthetics and costumes in Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy”? Not even “Euphoria”? Are you kidding me?! Not with me! Here’s the category btw! “Outstanding Contemporary Costumes”.
It should’ve been “Bridgerton” for their costume choices but no it had to be “The Geeat” because of RIP Queen Elizabeth II. In the category of “Outstanding Period Costumes”.
Same thing goes out for the category of “Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes “ where “Moonknight” or even “Loki” should’ve won but it went to “What We Do In The Shadows”.
The award went to “Lucy and Desi” in the category of “Outstanding Writing For A Nonfiction Program” no comment on that…
Adele won another award , this time for “Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Special” for her Documentary.
The award for “Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling” went to “American Crime” instead of “Euphoria”.
The award for “Outstanding Period And/Or Character Hairstyling” went to “Bridgerton”! Rightfully.
Euphoria won another award for “Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic”.
Another prediction of mine came true and I couldn’t be happier! Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy” won the award for “Outstanding Period And/Or Character Makeup (Non-Prosthetic)”.
“Outstanding Main Title Design” the award finally went to Apple Tv’+’s “Severance” starring Ben Stiller.
The award for “Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score)” went to “Severance” which was well deserved.
SuperBall won another award, this time in the category of “Outstanding Music Direction”.
The award for “Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music “ went to… “The White Lotus”.
Do ve Cameron won an award for the category “Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics”, surpassing “Euphoria”, which were nominated twice!
Stranger Things won an another award for “Outstanding Music Supervision”. They also won “Outstanding Makeup (Prosthetics). Forgot to mention it.
The most emotional thing happened to me while watching this award show… Chadwick Boseman won his well deserved award for his voice as “Black Panther” in the Marvel Studio’s “What If”, in the category of “Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance”. Rest In Peace , legend. His death is prolly the death which impacted me the most…
The award for “Outstanding Narrator” went to former President Barack Obama for his narration in “Our Great National Parks”.
“Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming” the award went to “A Black Lady Sketch Show” instead of the 20th Anniversary of “Harry Potter”.
The award for “Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series” should’ve gone to “Only Murderers In The Building” but it went to Barry, which in fine with. I will definitely be watching it after this post!

I thought “Hawkeye” would win this category for “Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Comedy Series Or Variety Program” but “Barry” once again won it.
As for the category of “Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie” was won by “Strange’s Things” as I predicted it.
Squid Game won another award for “Outstanding Stunt Performance” . I tonight “Moonknight” would win this one but I ain’t mad that squid game won it tho.
“Arcane” won the winner in the category of “Outstanding Individual Achievement In Animation” . As I predicted. They won all three of their nominations in this category!
“Outstanding Animated Program” was won as I predicted, “Arcane”!
