Is David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” worth a watch?

I’m not a huge David Bowie fan but I’m still a fan of his. Therefore I was very excited to watch this movie.

This movie debuted at the Cannes Film Festival back in May of 2022. Along with a debit at the Toronto Film Festival, last week. Also at the French Film Festival “Deauville Film Festival”, a few weeks ago.

This movie was released on September 16th 2022. It is a documentary about the late David Bowie. It was rated PG-13.

This movie was directed by Brett Morgen (Marvel’s and Hulk’s “Runaways”).

Onto the premise: A cinematic odyssey exploring David Bowie’s creative and musical journey. From visionary filmmaker Brett Morgen, and sanctioned by the Bowie estate.

This movie was not a biography, it’s an exploration and celebration of David Bowie’s life, art, and music. This movie consists of clips cleverly edited together and enhanced to make this a cinematic experience .

See it as big and loud as you can and get lost in the icon of David Bowie. It needs to be three hours longer to fit in everything the stuff others are moaning about not being there. I’d happily have done another 3 hours of this.

Everything i wanted to be in the eighties, I want again after watching Bowie come to life once more.

Honestly my excitement for this movie’s release was too high. I’m glad that my excitement for this movie was met!

Like I said, this movie is not a movie, it’s an experience that will make re-think to those clips and will put you into a hypnosis.

Overall I was impressed with this documentary and had so much fun watching this movie. The six-minute- standing ovation at Toronto Film Festival.

Wether you are a David Bowie fan or not, I highly recommend watching this experience of a movie.

I really liked the vibrant colors of this experience but I will also give a huge Trigger Warning for those, who sensitive to flashing lights and bright colors.
