Is “Monters High:The Movie “ worth a Watch?

This movie is another item of my watchlist for the month of October 2022.

When I was younger I used to watch the “Monster High” series and when I found out that there would be a movie made, I was very excited to watch it. Because it mostt likely would bring me back to my childhood.

So this is an Action/Adventure/Fantasy/Musical. It starrs Ceci Balagot (“Desperate Housewives”), Marci T. House (“Lou” on Netflix), Lina Lecompte (“Bullet Proof”), just to name a few.

This movie was directed by Todd Holland (Hulu’s “Love,Victor”).

This movie was released on October 6th 2022.

Onto the premise: Follows a half human and half werewolf, as she finally finds a place where she fits, but, when a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her identity, she must learn to embrace her true monster heart and save the day.

In the first generation, Frankie Stein was the new student and tried to fit in. In the third generation, Frankie’s role was given to Clawdeen.

The first Monster High movie to be a “real” musical since Monster High: Boo York, Boo York (2015).

This movie is set in an alternate universe from the original series as the characters personalities are different.

As a dork who loves silly fantasy-high school musicals, this this was a fun way to veg out at the end of a long day! The songs were catchy, and you could tell the actors were having fun with their roles.

The characters were fun, especially Frankie. Loved seeing the inclusion of non/binary characters too.

Recommend for a fun, Halloween movie for those who love the spooky season but can’t handle actually horror/terror movies.
