This movie was another highly anticipated one for me.
This movie starrs Ryan Phillippe (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Freddie Thorp (“Fate/ The Winx Saga”), Hannah New (“Bridgerton”), Mathilde Warnier (“The Serpent”), just to name a few.
This movie was directed by Julian Gilbey
This movie was released on October 14th 2022.
This movie is a Drama. It was rated R for language.
Onto the premise: A daring dream to scale the world’s most challenging trio of mountains soon turns into a terrifying nightmare for a group of friends when a deadly storm traps the climbers near the summit and cuts off all hope of rescue. With the odds stacked against them, the friends are forced to trust each other to save themselves by any means necessary.
This movie was refreshing because we only see movies with heavy CGI- scenes in them… Movies where the actors are staying safe in a studio and everything else is made of fiction.
This movie is great, climbing is real, the snow is real, the mountains are real.
It’s not a blockbuser , it’s not gonna win academy awards. But it’s got emotion it’s got great Mountain View’s, the cinematography and scenery was great. It really reminded me of “Fall” which I had applauded for having really cool camera angles. This movie has tension and it has a simple, but good story.
Hands down to the producer and all the actors, they have made a great job and I’m sure it wasn’t an easy one
I love mountain climbing films so I said I’ll give it a try. Ryan Philippe was the only actor I knew , although I don’t know the other ones, I really liked them and they all made a great contribution to this. Freddie Thorp is a young actor but he sure is talented.
Definitely worth watching this! But avoid this movie if you are afraid of heights!
