This movie was another highly anticipated one for me.
This movie starrs Dwayne Johnson, Pierce Brosnan (“The King’s Daughter”), Noah Centineo (Netflix’s “To All The Boys: Always and Forever”), Quintessa Swindell (“Euphoria”), just to name a few.
This movie was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”).
This movie is a Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Action/Comic Book adaptation.
This movie was released on October 21st 2022. It was rated PG-13 for strong violence, intense action and some gore and strong language and frightening imagery.
Onto the premise: Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods-and imprisoned just as quickly-Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
Honestly, I had no knowledge about Black Adam, the comic book character, prior to watching this movie, i have watched the trailers and the teasers and that one post-credits- scene scene on “DC League of Superpets” starring Kevin Hart, i had some high expectations before going into the movie.
But wow, I surprise by the movie!
Okay, it’s not the best super hero movie out there and doesn’t have an overwhelmingly deep story. But it doesn’t try to be that either.
It was fun, enjoyable, fights where amazing, soundtrack was great, just a well-made hero movie where you can see superhumans dish out in fight! But I really didn’t like the CGI-aspects of this movie. Those were as bad as those were in the first-teo episodes of Marvel’s “She-Hulk”.
And considering the quality of the MCU we have received recently, I would definitely recommend this one to us super hero fans!
It was Great from DC to not show every scene in the Trailer.This movie is packed with action and there are tons of sequences which are not rushed in my opinion. THE ROCK is ROCK and he did Great
Overall it was a good movie but it did had some bad moments as well but one thing i want to say is: I would only suggest anyone who is going to watch this movie. Don’t compare it with anything else. “Black Adam” is its own movie. We have not seen any other movie with Anti-hero theme besides and “The Suicide Squad” and “Morbius” but these two cannot be compared. But I really enjoyed some cameos hint hint “Peacemaker”….
“Black Adam” is a an amazing movie and i hope the sequal to it comes soon “Black Adam vs …”… it was definitely “worth a watch” for me even tho it is has some weak moments… more on this week’s podcast episode on Sunday!
