Is “1-800-Hot-Nite” worth a watch?

This movie was another highly anticipated one for me ever since I saw its trailers and featurettes sometime back in October, this year!

This movie starrs Dallas Dupree Young (“Cobra Kai”), Nicole Steinwedell (“Dynasty”), Brent Bailey (“Doom Patrol”), Ericka Kreutz (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Jackie Moore (“Westworld”), just to name a few.

This movie was directed by Nick Richey

This movie was released on October 6th but I watched it yesterday.

This movie is a Comedy/Drama/Thriller.

Onto the premise: When 13-year-old Tommy loses his parents to a drug raid, he embarks on an urban odyssey guided by a phone sex operator (his fairy godmother) and with the help of his two best friends, Steve and O’Neill.

A big factors of this movie are the young actors wow, they are just marvellous in their acts. a about a kid not even teenager yet, fleeing to the streets, just because being born into a family that strives, having police on his back.

The story take so many twist and turns, it covers so many aspects of life and shows to some extent the socialrealism of life in a careful but still heartbroken way.

In real life there would have been 15 patrols searching for this kid, i know, but watch it for the love and hopes that the main caracter wants and needs. Its not a movie for the youngest kids, but could be considered as a PG-7 rating, because everything here is bloodfree and explainable for the adolescent.

This movie really reminded me of the 2015 movie “The Land” produced by Musicians Nasir “Nas” Jones and Machine Gun Kelly, starring Moises Arias, Rafi Gavron (“WestWorld”), Colson Baker (“One Way”),, Linda Emond.
