Today is the day! I’ve been waiting for this series to be released! This series is one of my highlights of this year. This series is a spin-off of “Pitch Perfect”.
This series has six episodes in its first season. It was released on November 23rd 2022 on Peacock. It is a Comedy.

Onto the premise: Bumper moves to Germany to revive his music career after one of his songs becomes big in Berlin.
I’m episode one, When Bumper Allen gets a chance to pursue his dreams of becoming a pop star, he abandons his life working as a security guard and moves to Berlin.
In Episode two, Bumper does damage control at Pretzel Fest; Pieter confronts an old flame; Heidi convinces Thea to work with Bumper.
In Episode Three, Bumper tries to reconcile with Heidi; Pieter books Bumper on a radio show; Thea pushes Heidi out of her comfort zone; Gisela takes the stage again.
In Episode Four, Bumper meets with a famous music video director; Pieter and Thea revisit their past; Heidi must make a big decision; Gisela releases a new single and video.
In Episode five, Bumper’s feelings for Heidi evolve; Pieter preps Bumper for Unity Day; Thea and Heidi come together to support Bumper after he receives bad news.
In Episode six, Bumper’s future in the music industry is at stake; Thea and Pieter devise a plan to save Bumper’s career; Bumper and Gisela take the stage at Unity Day.
Ad a fan of the franchise, I will just pretend that this Mimi-series was the third installment of “Pitch Perfect”.
This is probably the best one in the Franchise. The writing is strong there were so many times that I got some genuine laugh out loud moments, but the real strength comes from the characters. They do a good job of making them outlandish without making them cartoonish characitures. Bumper who is usually one of the most obnoxious characters comes off as really likable and someone you want to root for.
He has always been one of my favorite characters. When I heard there was a spinoff about two of the characters in Pitch Perfect I was SO excited and when I saw it’s trailer I was even more excited!
The acting is the main draw here. Devine and Both might be my favorite on stage couple. Their chemistry is always electric. I loved seeing Titania from “She-Hulk” again in this one in a villainous role. Along with “OneRepublic”’s Ryan Tedder, whom I am huge fan of!
Adam and Flula’s raw comedic talent played off as well here as it did in Modern family. Jamil is fantastic. She can usually carry a show herself (She-Hulk) but she really shines when everyone else is up top her level.
Peiter and Das Boot were fantastic her dry wit played well off his buffoonery. Watched the whole series in a sitting and highly recommend. Best new show so far and I hope it gets a second season.
