Is Disney Plus’ “Night At The Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again” worth a watch?

This Disney Plus movie was another highly anticipated one for me. I grew up with the original franchise and when I saw that it would have an animated sequel, I was very excitedZ

This movie starrs Joshua Bassett (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Jamie Demetriou (“Cruella”), Chris Parnell (“Rick and Morty”), Dee Bradley Baker (“Peacemaker”), Joseph Kamal (“The Flight Attendant”), just to name a few.

This movie was directed by Justin Lovell (“LILO and Stitch 2”).

This movie was released on December 9th 202/ on Disney Plus. It was rated PG-13 for some rude humor.

This movie is an animated Adventure/Comedy/Fantasy/Family/Thriller.

This is the first Night at the Museum to be produced under Walt Disney Pictures instead of 20th Century Studios following the acquisition of 2019.

The first Night at the Museum film to be fully animated and the first in the series not to have a theatrical release.

Onto the premise: Nick Daley hesitates becoming a museum nightwatchman and Kahmunrah returns to conquer the world.

I like how Nick is the star of the film. I kinda wish he worked with Larry, but I guess the ‘Larry is the night-guard’ has been milked dry. So, Nick was a nice change of pace. We got to learn more about Larry’s son.

My one dislike with this film, is the return of Kahmunrah. We all saw him disintegrate in the second installment of this movie. So, how did he return? Granted, he may have escaped somehow, or his ghost is inhabiting a new body. But, I do like how Seth is presented as a classic, “Where are your manners?” character.

I also like how, Erica threatened to murder Larry if something bad happened to Nick. That scene cracked me up.
