I was so excited about this unique Netflix series-watching-experience. The special thing about this series is that it is non-linear watchable, meaning you can watch it, in whichever oder you want and the entire story still makes sense.

So, this Netflix series starrs Rufus Sewell (“Old”), Peter Mark Kendall (“Top Gun: Maverick”), Bubba Weiler (“Dopesick”), Soojeong Son (“Succession”), Max Casella (Apple Tv Plus’ “WeCrashed”), Dan Matteucci (“The Sandman”), Giancarlo Esposito (“The Boys”). just to name a few.

This series was directed by Mairzee Almas (Netflix’s “The Sandman”).

This Netflix series was released on January 1st 2023. It has eight episodes in its first season.

It is an Action/Crime/Drama/Thriller.

Onto the premise: Centered around the largest heist ever attempted, the vengeance and betrayals that surround it.

This series was loosely based on the true- crime events story of $70 billion in bonds going missing in Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy. This story is focusing on a group of thieves as they undergo a multi-decade plan to pull off the perfect heist. in an apparently unbreakable vault.

The eight episodes are telling the story of this crime, with each one, bouncing around a 24-year timeline from when the team’s preparations began to six weeks before the day of the heist. Throughout we get introduced to a few characters.

Since I started with Episode “Yellow” that timeline was six weeks before the heist, after being introduced to this concept with the “Black” episode. Leo assembles a team to steal billions in bonds from an impenetrable vault in New York City. The first task: Secure seed money in the Diamond District.

Then I continued watching this series with the “Green” episode, which tells the story of the heist, Seven years before it. And we got to learn about a certain background of two very important characters, a certain CEO and Leo. Leo assembles a team to steal billions in bonds from an impenetrable vault in New York City. Then I continued with the “Blue” Episode, which tells the story of the heist from five days prior it and we got some very important yet shocking things about the crew and that one CEO. The team sets their intricate plan into motion amid news of a hurricane approaching the city. A paranoid Roger deals with a threat. The FBI gets a tip.

Then I continued to watch the story and plot unfold in the episode “Orange”. This episode told us, the audience, what happened to everybody involved in this heist, from the time-span of Three weeks before the heist. And we got introduced to some more characters…. Weeks before the heist, the squad hits a few obstacles as the FBI closes in on Ava and Bob copes with an injury. Agent Nazan seizes an opportunity.

Then I continued with the “Violet” episode, where the story was told from a twenty Four years before the heist, timeline. We got introduced to a few dynamics and the backgrounds of those dynamics… In the past, family man Leo tries to leave his life of crime behind, but a tempting job and a persuasive partner make old habits hard to break.

Then I continued with the “red” Episode which takes place the morning after the heist. Tensions run high when the crew regroups after the heist and questions what went wrong — and who to trust. FBI agent Nazan makes a shocking discovery.

Then I continued to watch the story unfold of the heist in “Pink” episode, Now in hiding after the heist, the crew faces new struggles. Roger conspires with an unlikely partner. The feds chase a lead in South Carolina. This Episode takes place six months after the heist.

Then I continued to watch the story unfold of the heist, in the last episode “White”, A master criminal and his crew hatch an elaborate scheme to break into a secure vault, but are forced to pivot when things don’t go according to plan.

Overall I really enjoyed this mini series and can definitely recommend it! The suspense it created was too good and the wait was so worth it.
