I was so excited about this prequel of the beloved “Teen Wolf” series.
This Paramount plus series starrs Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Do Revenge”), Rodrigo Santoro (“Westworld”), Lanny Joon (“Chicago Fire”), James Martinez (“Love, Victor”), Amy Pietz (“Dynasty”), Hollie Bahar (“Westworld”), just to name a few.
This series was directed by Jason Ensler (“Love, Victor”).
This series was released on January 26th 2023. It has eight episodes in its first season.
This series is a Drama/Fantasy/Horror.
Onto the premise: Two teenagers who are caught in a wildfire and are wounded by a supernatural creature. In the aftermath, they discover they’re werewolves, and develop an intense bond together. The two team up, and encounter two other teenagers, the adoptive children of a park ranger, who went through a similar strange wildfire sixteen years ago.
The pilot was a great introduction. The show is very atmospheric and eerie. Special effects are pretty good, they really work in horror to creates almost dream like sequences, to let the fantasy aspect of the show set in.The werewolf is introduced and looks freaking epic! The graphic sequences were well made and effective. You can tell this is just the start and they introduced the classic teenagers and werewolf tropes fast to be able to embark us on a more complex journey.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is here for a reason and I can’t wait to see why by the end of the season, I’m sure it’s more than for the whodunit aspect!
This show is not perfect by any means but I still enjoyed it. There’s really good representation for mental health, interesting characters and a mystery that intrigues me. Also, let’s not forget about Sarah Michelle Gellar.
If your a fan of buffy the vampire slayer, teen wolf, or any other supernatural horror shows like that you’ll definitely like this one I promise you that!! It has great writing, great affects, a great storyline, great acting, and great characters.
Only one episode has been released so far and I’m already hooked I can’t wait to find out what’s gonna happen next in the wolf pack story.
In Episode two, An unknown force draws Everett, Blake, Luna, and Harlan closer as the full moon reaches its apex. Kristin has narrowed down her suspect list. Meanwhile, the search continues for Garrett.
I’m episode three, Taken into questioning by Ramsey and her team, Everett, Blake, Luna and Harlan construct an alibi; Luna and Harlan make a startling discovery when they defend Everett from their first terrifying sighting of the creature.
