Onto the premise: Follows a relationship between employee and boss, asking how far we will go to get ahead, and to survive.
In Episode one, Sang Woo, the CEO of a gaming company, dies. Regus Patoff appears claiming to be in control, acting in bizarre ways and giving no real direction. Craig and Elaine work together to uncover who and what Patoff is doing.
In Episode two, Mr. Patoff continues making odd requests, confusing the workers even more. Mr. Sang’s mother arrives from Seoul.
In Episode Three, Mr. Patoff and Craig spend a night out on the town that becomes increasingly bizarre, while Elaine explores the records room.
In Episode Four, Flashback scenes reveal when Regus Patoff met Sang Woo to pitch his services. Patoff shares the financial status of the company with Elaine; both Elaine and Craig pitch their own money ideas to Patoff while they continue to investigate his background.
In Episode five, Craig calls in sick so he can investigate a lead about Patoff – the mystery deepens as bizarre details are revealed. In the meantime, Patoff continues to play his own games with the employees.
In Episode six, Patoff continues his bizarre mind games, now including Craig’s fiancée. Craig returns from sick leave to find changes in the office; he continues with his Catholic classes. Elaine discovers a disturbing trend in the newly developed computer game.
In Episode Seven, Patoff continues to meddle between Patti and Craig. Elaine prepares to carry out a wild publicity stunt per Patoff’s insistence. Craig and Amy track where Patoff goes every day but wind up with more questions instead of answers.
In Episode eight, the season finale, Mr. Sang’s Jungle Odyssey hits the market with notable numbers. Elaine continues to challenge her moral compass, Craig confronts what’s been haunting him all season, and Regus eyes his next enterprise.
I was instantly hooked onto this series because it gave me “Severance” vibes, which I really appreciated.
I liked this comedic creepy thriller, with its moments, where I had laughed out loud. Along with its shocking moments. I honestly can’t wait to watch more!
I just love love Christoph Waltz. He is such an amazing actor! The rest of the cast were was Amazing as well.
I honestly had no idea what to expect from the story, but I enjoyed it. The episodes were pretty snackable, which I liked.
